Njords Ark resource
Cruise drydock furniture planning checklist.
Drydock furniture success depends on decisions made months before the ship arrives. This checklist helps teams reduce late risk.
Scope and quantities
Confirm all areas, item counts, alternates, spares, owner-supplied items and what must be removed, matched, replaced or newly developed.
Samples and approvals
Set dates for finish samples, upholstery approvals, mockups, drawings, value engineering and client sign-off.
Production and logistics
Work backwards from pier date. Confirm packing labels, pallets, container planning, customs, delivery address, access route and onboard handling.
Installation and aftersales
Clarify who receives, checks, moves, installs, fixes, cleans, stores covers, reports damage and handles spares.
Tip: the earlier furniture details are clarified, the easier it is to control samples, production, logistics and installation timing.
